In addition, public statistics show that if all the planned new energy storage projects are in place, the new investment will reach 150 billion yuan in four years based on the average cost of new energy storage of 4 billion yuan per GW.
In addition to photovoltaic, wind power, new energy vehicles and other industries, new energy storage and shared energy storage have become key industries that provincial and municipal governments focus on. Energy storage has been listed as the key work of the government of 10 provinces and regions in Shandong, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Chongqing, Sichuan and Qinghai in 2023.
(1) Shandong: planning to build a batch of new energy storage projects
We will implement ten projects of carbon peak and nine projects of energy transformation and development, build five clean energy bases such as offshore wind power, plan and build a number of new energy storage projects, establish a mechanism for realizing the value of ecological products and carbon sink compensation, promote the research and development and utilization of blue carbon sinks, and effectively improve the "gold content" of economic development. Accelerate the construction of Shandong Energy Tangkou Coal Storage Project, Huadian Qingdao, Huaneng Tai'an Heavy Gas Unit and other projects, and complete the Three Gorges Qingyun Phase II and China Resources Caijin Dongying New Energy Storage Project.
(2) Shanxi: developing mobile energy storage
Promote the development and utilization of hydrogen energy, geothermal energy and biomass energy, strive to start more than five pumped storage projects, accelerate the construction of two new energy gathering stations, and develop mobile energy storage.
(3) Inner Mongolia: strive to meet the capacity of energy storage equipment this year to meet the demand of 1 million kilowatt-hour energy storage installation
Energy storage mainly focuses on upstream cell manufacturing and downstream energy storage integration, and strives to meet the production capacity of energy storage equipment this year to meet the 1 million kilowatt-hour energy storage installation demand.
(4) Liaoning: increase efforts to tackle key problems in energy storage technology and expand industrialization
We will increase efforts to tackle key problems in energy storage technology and expand industrialization, promote the integration of load and storage of power source networks and the complementary development of multi-energy, and build a regional energy trading center in the Northeast.
(5) Jilin: construction of new energy storage facilities of more than 200000 kilowatts
Vigorously promote the coordinated development of "source, network, load and storage" in the energy industry. Accelerate the construction of a new type of power system with Jilin characteristics based on "clean power supply, friendly power grid, flexible load and active energy storage", and actively serve the clean and low-carbon transformation of energy. Construction of new energy storage facilities of more than 200000 kilowatts was commenced.
(6) Zhejiang: promote 87 major projects of modern energy infrastructure such as energy storage
Focusing on the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, the safe and reliable energy supply, and the steady reduction of enterprise energy costs, 87 major projects of modern energy infrastructure such as power supply, power grid, energy storage, and natural gas pipeline network were promoted, and more than 600 billion yuan was invested in the energy sector.
(7) Guangdong: vigorously develop new energy storage industry
Actively and steadily promote carbon peak and carbon neutralization, accelerate the planning and construction of new energy systems, develop new energy and clean energy such as offshore wind power and pumped storage, accelerate the implementation and construction of energy storage battery projects, vigorously develop new energy storage industries, explore new scenarios for the integrated development of energy storage, and accelerate the construction of the carbon market in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao.
(8) Chongqing: implement a number of new energy storage demonstration projects
We have completed an energy investment of 40 billion yuan, focusing on promoting the Sichuan-Chongqing UHV AC project, the environmental relocation of Chongqing Power Plant, the second phase of Liangjiang gas turbine, the Yongchuan gas turbine cogeneration, the third phase of Hechuan Shuanghuai Power Plant and the natural gas power generation in Wanzhou, Fuling and Jiangjin, accelerating the development of shale gas in key blocks, and implementing a number of new energy storage demonstration projects.
(9) Sichuan: Proportional overall allocation of new energy storage
Accelerate the implementation of the Sichuan Provincial Power Grid Development Plan (2022-2025), make good use of the benefit compensation and incentive policies for power construction, vigorously promote the construction of major water and wind energy projects, and allocate new energy storage in a proportional and coordinated manner, and strive to reach 130 million kilowatts of installed power this year.
(10) Qinghai: Completed the compressed air energy storage demonstration project
In terms of energy, the first batch of 10.9 million kilowatts of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases will be built and connected to the grid, the second batch of 7 million kilowatts will be fully started, and the third batch of 10 million kilowatts will be approved. Lijiaxia will expand its capacity to connect to the grid for power generation, speed up the construction of Yangqu and Marduan hydropower stations, start the construction of Wajan, Tongde, Nanshankou and other pumped-storage power stations, build compressed air energy storage demonstration projects, and comprehensively improve the peak-shaving capacity of new energy power generation.
At the same time, the work report of the governments of 15 cities in 10 provinces, including Jiuquan, Gansu, Yinchuan, Guyuan, Huainan, Anhui, Ma'anshan, Changde, Hunan, Pingdingshan, Henan, Puyang, Suqian, Jiangsu, Wuxi, Shantou, Guangdong, Longyan, Fujian, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, Binzhou, Shandong, and Zibo in 2023 also made arrangements and arrangements for the development of energy storage.
